Free for up to 500 emails per rolling 24 hours

Send personalized bulk email
from your own Gmail

Upload a CSV, write one message with merge fields like {{name}}, and Fanout sends a personal copy to everyone from your real Gmail address. No subscription, no password sharing.

Sign in with Google. Fanout can only send email. It cannot read your inbox.

From a spreadsheet to personal emails in minutes

Each row of your CSV becomes its own email. Columns turn into merge fields, so every recipient gets a message that reads as if you wrote it just for them.

Per sendUp to 500 recipients
CC addressesEach CC counts as one more email toward your allowance
Failed or stopped sendsNot counted. Only delivered emails use your allowance

"Rolling" means each email counts for exactly 24 hours after it is sent, not until midnight.

How Fanout uses your Google data

When you sign in with Google, Fanout asks for two things:

  • Your basic profile (email address, name and picture) to sign you in and show who is signed in.
  • Permission to send email from your Gmail account, only when you press Send, to deliver the emails you write. This is the only Gmail permission we ask for. Fanout cannot read, search, change or delete your mail.

We never store your recipient lists or email content, we do not sell your data or use it for advertising, and we do not use it to train AI models. Fanout's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Read the full privacy policy and terms of use.

Private by design

  • Send-only permission. Fanout asks for the Gmail send scope. It cannot read, search or delete your mail.
  • Your list is not stored. Recipients, subjects and bodies are never written to disk. Send results are held in memory for one hour so you can see them, then dropped.
  • Tokens are encrypted. Your Google refresh token is encrypted at rest, and you can revoke access or delete your account at any time.

Read the full privacy policy.

Frequently asked questions

What is Fanout?

Fanout is a free Gmail mail merge tool. You upload a list of recipients, write one email with merge fields, and Fanout sends a personalized copy to each person from your own Gmail account.

Is Fanout really free?

Yes. You can send up to 500 emails per rolling 24 hours at no cost, with no credit card and no subscription.

Can Fanout read my emails?

No. Fanout asks only for permission to send email on your behalf. It cannot read, search or delete anything in your mailbox.

Do I need to share my Google password?

No. You sign in on Google's own page. Fanout never sees your password, and you can revoke its access at any time from your Google Account permissions.

How many emails can I send?

Up to 500 per rolling 24 hours, and up to 500 recipients in a single send. Gmail also applies its own daily limits to your account, which Fanout cannot raise.

What does "rolling 24 hours" mean?

Each email counts toward your allowance for exactly 24 hours after it is sent. There is no midnight reset, so room frees up gradually as older sends age out. The app shows when.

Where does my recipient list go?

It stays in your browser until you press Send. The server holds it in memory only while the send runs, and keeps the per-recipient results for one hour so you can review them. Nothing is saved to a database.

Will my emails land in spam?

They are sent from your real Gmail account, which helps. Deliverability still depends on your content and your recipients, so email only people who expect to hear from you. Our bulk email guide covers the basics.

Is there an iPhone or Android app?

No separate app is needed. Fanout runs in any modern browser on desktop or mobile.

Can I send from a script or another app?

Yes. Create an API key in the app and call one HTTP endpoint. See the API reference.

Ready to send your first mail merge?

It takes about five minutes and costs nothing.
